About Us
Getting property projects moving since 2010
We finance projects across New Zealand
We are provincial people who understand how regional New Zealand ticks. We will consider funding outside of the main metropolitan areas
We are responsive
We can often provide initial interest in funding a project, and indicative terms within 1-2 days. The same applies when you become a client – we typically turn around progress drawdowns within 24 hours
We like to get to know you
We place great value on relationships and take a partnership like approach into each loan. We take an active interest in what you are trying to achieve in both the short and long term
We are privately funded
This means we can be flexible, cut the red tape and tailor a funding solution around your project. We are guided by what makes sense rather than by a policy document
We get it
We know that property projects can be a roller-coaster ride and that no two projects are the same. We understand that your finance needs to fit around the ever-changing property landscape

It pays to work with good people
Based in Hawke’s Bay, we’re a small team with strong backgrounds in finance, banking and consulting.
Since joining Killarney Capital in 2018, Casey has been a strong catalyst of the company’s growth, calling on nearly two decades of commercial experience in banking and leadership roles to expand our footprint in the non-bank finance sector.
Casey loves the fact that we can move quickly and dedicate our time to making decisions that directly impact our clients, staff, key referrers, and professionals involved in projects we fund.
Outside of Killarney Capital, Casey is a full-time husband and dad and part-time you-name-it: golfer, brewer, gym-goer, thoroughbred racing enthusiast, backyard cricketer and tramper.
Richard joined Killarney Capital in 2021 after two decades in the banking industry including 14 years with one of New Zealand’s major banks, working in Auckland and Hawke’s Bay in relationship management and leadership roles.
Richard’s role at Killarney is primarily focussed on growing and maintaining relationships with our referral network and maintaining a healthy flow of new lending opportunities.
Richard is a coastie and enjoys travelling with his wife, surfing with his boys, fishing in his kayak and the odd bit of DIY around the house or on his 50 year old caravan.
Tom joined Killarney in 2020, embarking on a new chapter in his career following various accounting and finance related roles within the ‘big four’ and then in the construction and real-estate sectors.
Tom relishes the diverse range of deals that cross his desk. Tom is open minded and always keen to find workable solutions to new deals or issues that may arise throughout a property project.
Beyond Killarney Capital, Tom is an adventurer who once completed the Mongol Rally in a Fiat Mutipla. These days his time is spent with his young family, surfing, playing cricket or golf and curating his Movember ‘slug’ each year for charity.
Dan returned to his hometown in the Bay and joined Killarney in 2021, after working in finance roles in Wellington and Melbourne.
He began his career in the family timber yard, gaining hands-on experience from a young age. After university, Dan transitioned to KPMG’s audit team, where he earned his Chartered Accountant qualification. With years of experience auditing major banks, he now appreciates Killarney’s agility and enjoys finding creative solutions for clients.
Outside of work, Dan is passionate about the outdoors and staying active. He enjoys football, boxing, golfing, various board sports, and exploring New Zealand’s hiking trails.
